(Gridlock)

These are the prints I have been working on in the last couple months. The dark brown paper has been hand-dyed with tea. The black shapes in a couple of them are the result of inking up pieces of glass and running them through the press, which breaks them more and memorializes the moment of breakage in the print. I have always been fascinated with graph paper and so this seems to be a natural direction. The 11th and 12th images down are printed with white ink. These prints are all fairly small, averaging about 5" x 8".

Mapping by Mail: An Open Invitation to Collaborate

I am currently working on a project with the general theme of mapping. In conjunction with this project I am beginning an experiment in mapping by mail. It is open to everyone in all places, and I think geographical diversity is fantastic, so the more the merrier.

I would love for you to participate! It requires a very low-level commitment. Essentially, I will send you something in the mail, most likely a blank postcard (pre-stamped, pre-addressed) and you will do something with said postcard (I will include instructions as I figure it out) and then send it back to me.

If you'd be at all willing to help out please reply with your mailing address. Thanks in advance for your help!
